Why choose snowmobile mittens instead of gloves?
For the most warmth, mittens will almost always offer maximum comfort. This is made possible by the fact that your fingers aren’t individually separated. By remaining in contact with one another, more heat is able to be generated, thereby providing the most comfort and protection.
The only downside to mittens is that they don’t have the dexterity of five-finger gloves. There is, however, a compromise. There are some three-finger lobster-claw style snowmobile mitts that help your hands stay warmer than they would in gloves with a little more mobility.
