Tremblay wins for third time at Canadian National
The BRP Ski-Doo X-Team is building momentum as its racers had another great weekend at the Canadian round of the ISOC National Snocross Series in Sarnia Ontario.
Tim Tremblay collected his third win of the year when he crossed the line first in Pro Stock on Friday night under the lights. His teammate at Warnert Racing, Emil Ohman, made the transition from European to North American snocross this season and is really starting to establish himself with another stellar weekend, finishing second in Pro Stock and third in Pro Open. And both times Ohman did it with strong rides from back in the pack.
In the Semi-Pro ranks Justin Broberg looked to have things well in hand as he crossed the finish line first in Semi-Pro Open with Warnert Racing teammates Darrin Mees third and Dylan Martin fifth – but a yellow flag infraction and resulting penalty took the win away. That moved Mees and Martin up a notch in the results and put a hurt on Broberg’s championship title hopes.
With RMR having the weekend off most of their Pro and Semi-Pro racers went to Valcourt for the revived Grand Prix race where Mathieu Morin took Pro Stock and Brett Turcotte led a Ski-Doo sweep in the Pro Open with Morin and Dave Allard following. In Semi-Pro action Lincoln Lemieux was the man in Stock Class and Lucas Brunelle led the Ski-Doo sweep in Open with Lemieux and Luc Villeneuve trailing.
