Illinois trails get boost from state officials
$200,000 in snowmobile grants awarded
Illinois snowmobile trails will benefit from $200,000 in grants from state officials.
The grants, awarded by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, were given to nine local governments and a state snowmobile association. The money intended to be used for trail maintenance, as well equipment and safety improvement.
Illinois has nearly 38,000 registered snowmobiles.
