Polaris Issues Do-Not-Ride Recall For Three Models
Polaris has issued a rare do-not-ride recall on three of its models, including the 2022 MATRYX and AXYS and the discontinued Pro-Ride. Full details in the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission release below, but the issue is with the sleds’ fuel tanks. Reportedly, the fuel tanks can build up static electricity, which can cause gasoline vapor to ignite, exploding the tank and burning the rider. The report below says there have been 30 of these incidents listed.
The solution is to replace the fuel tank, which Polaris will do at no expense to the customer. Until it’s replaced, Polaris recommends owners do not ride their snowmobile if it is one of the affected models. See below for a full list of what years are affected by this, and call your local dealer if you have further questions.
