3-cylinder Genesis 120 4-stroke engine - The smooth-running 120hp-class Genesis 120 triple has proven itself one of the most reliable engines in all of the sport. Its broad power curve and excellent fuel economy have earned this carbureted classic a strong following among high-mileage enthusiasts. As you can see from the dyno chart in the technology section, the Genesis 120 keeps pulling hard once it gets into the peak performance zone. Competitive 2-stroke engines fall off as soon as they achieve their peak horsepower.


Direct-to-crankshaft clutching - Instead of using a gear reduction, the Genesis 120 engine has the primary clutch directly attached to the crankshaft. It allows the engine to be mounted deeper in the chassis to deliver a lower center of gravity, further improving the sled's cornering stability. The YVXC primary spins at 8500 RPM to transfer power from the engine to the secondary and on to the track.
