The 2007 Legend snowmobile from Ski-Doo is a return to those simpler days, without the
hassles. Every aspect of the Legend is designed to be easy and friendly, making it especially
suited to casual snowmobilers and riders new to the sport. That also makes it perfect for rental
operators, as riders just turn the key and go.
The Legend package:
Central to this friendliness is the RF platform. Its driver-centered design, relative light weight
[the lightest four-stroke on the market 490 pounds/220.5 kg for the Trail; and single A-arm front suspension make handling easy. Even the Legends high-tech
and compact styling is approachable.
Under the hood is the new Rotax 4-TEC V-800. This advanced twin made its debut on the
2006 Bombardier* ATV Outlander 800 to much acclaim and has been adapted for
snowmobiling. It delivers outstanding fuel economy [25 U.S. m.p.g./10.6 km/L], is U.S. EPA
certified, a substantial, yet refined, sound and four-stroke longevity. Its smooth, torque-y power
delivery is ideal for novice and casual snowmobilers.
Both Legend packages have a nice collection of features for comfort. Motion Control shocks
smooth the ride. Electric start, reverse, mirrors, and plastic skis are standard.
