Snowmobiling Down a Flooded Street [video]

It’s a sight you don’t see every day – a man in a bathing suit riding a snowmobile down a residential street in June. We’ll try to explain what happened, but be sure to check out the pair of videos below the jump for a more complete picture.

It seems the town of Coon Rapids, Minn. was hammered with a torrential downpour, which flooded some streets in the area. Whereas most of us would probably make sure our house wasn’t leaking and our possessions were safe, one man saw a golden opportunity to get some rare early summer snowmobiling. He stripped down to a bathing suit (no helmet, of course), climbed aboard his sled and took off down the street for a little joyriding.

That’s the kind of thing that makes you proud to be associated with our sport.
