Michigan Resorts Attracting Snowmobilers

An interesting story from the Detroit Free Press talks about how some Michigan resorts are offering would-be snowmobilers a package that includes a room and a snowmobile.

McGuire’s Resort in Cadillac, Mich. is one such proprietor who is taking the “bed and a sled” idea and running with it. For as little as $57, McGuire’s provides a package that includes one night lodging, breakfast, $20 good voucher and $10 gas card. From there you just add on a snowmobile rental and you’re good to go.

This seems like a very cool idea and a great way to generate some winter tourism business. Throw in a little area shopping and it’s also not a bad way to convince your significant other to go snowmobiling.
