Arctic Cat unveiled its 2014 racing snowmobiles at the recent Hay Days event in Minnesota. The 2014 ZR 6000 R Sno Pro is available in two iterations – Snocross and Cross Country.

As you might expect, the two sleds are very similar. Both feature a carbureted, two-stroke, liquid cooled, 599cc engine and rely on an Arctic rpm sensing drive clutch and Team driven driven clutch.

Arctic Race Suspension is found on the front end with FOX FLOAT X EVOL shocks and sway bar handling 10 inches of travel. In the rear is a slide-action frame with seven-position coupling, FOX ZERO X piggyback front and rear shocks with adjustable dampening controlling 13.5 inches of travel.

Both the Snocross and Cross Country race sleds are 118 inches long, 49.25-50.25 inches wide with a 45.5-inch ski stance.

The two race sleds differ in a few ways. First, the Snocross model has a much small fuel capacity (5.09 gal. compared to 12.06 gal.), which can be attributed to the longer races on the cross country circuit. As well, the Snocross sled used C&A Pro XT skis, while the Cross Country model uses C&A PRO ADX skis. Finally, the Snocross race sled track is 15 inches wide by 129 inches long with 1.7-inch lugs, while the Cross Country race sled track is 15 inches wide by 128 inches long with 1.25-inch lugs.
